Students develop winning STEM projects
HSC Design and Technology students Toby McConnell and James Woodbridge developed projects that finished in the top three in the UpRising entrepreneurial program for design students.
Sold out shows for Mamma Mia! the musical
Our annual musical Mamma Mia!, performed in the last week of Term 1, delighted audiences and saw several shows sold out. The students put in countless hours over two terms to perfect their roles, scenes, dance numbers and technical presentation (sound, lighting and staging).
NBCS students visit the UN in New York
Seven Year 11 students, accompanied by Ms Tolmie and Mr Linfoot, experienced a life-changing trip to the United Nations International School conference in New York, with 1600 students from 90 countries in attendance.
Dr Justin Coulson brings seminars to NBCS
Last week, our school had the privilege of hosting Dr Justin Coulson, renowned parenting expert and author, for two engaging seminars. Parents from the school and wider community met to hear him speak on The Parenting Revolution.
Textiles major work on display at Shape Exhibition
Mr Watson and Textiles teacher Ms Gray were delighted to join 2023 HSC graduate Kelsey Smit and her parents at the opening of the HSC Shape exhibition of exemplary major works from Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design.
Operation Joy brings joy to students and community
‘Operation Joy’, a longstanding initiative that fosters connections between NBCS Primary students and our elderly neighbours. Groups of students from Years 3 and 4, and Years 5 and 6, visit a nursing home on alternate weeks.
