Academic Scholarships for HSC (Years 11-12)
Criteria
The Board of Northern Beaches Christian School is pleased to invite applications for academic scholarships. Scholarships are open to girls and boys eligible for Year 11 entry to the School. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and other criteria. The scholarships cover half of the tuition fees, (excluding extras), for two years.
Applicants will need to:
- demonstrate a high level of academic achievement with particular strength in Mathematics
- sit the Australian Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program (CSTP)
- be interviewed by the Principal, if short listed
Please note that scholarships are not available to international full fee paying students or current Northern Beaches Christian School students.
Application Costs and Deadline
All scholarship applications cost $90, payable at time of registration. Registrations received after the close of registration date (to be confirmed in Term 1, 2010) will incur a late fee.
Examination Date and Location
The next ACER Cooperative Scholarship Test will be conducted on Saturday 8th May, 2010 at the Northern Beaches Christian School campus (1 Echunga Road, Terrey Hills NSW).

Candidates can purchase a sample booklet of questions as part of their online registration through the ACER website.
Results
A short-list of candidates will be compiled by the Principal following receipt of the ACER results. Applicants on the shortlist, and their parents, will then be contacted by the School and invited to attend an interview. The decision to award a scholarship will be made as quickly as possible subsequent to the interview.
The retention of all scholarships is subject to ongoing review and performance of the student.
Registration
After completing your online registration applicants must send:
- a brief resume of their academic, sporting and co-curricular achievements including any relevant support documentation.
- copies of their two most recent school reports.
The submission documents must be sent prior to the examination date and should be clearly labelled with the applicant’s full name, address and date of birth. Failure to submit these documents means ineligibility for the award of a scholarship. Please send the information to:
