Parent Involvement
Parents and Guardians are actively encouraged to be involved in their child’s education and be a part of the NBCS community.
Parent Training Workshops
Any Parent or Guardian who would like to volunteer to help either on-campus or on excursions must first complete a Parent Training Workshop. Parents and Guardians will be issued with an official ID card and can then volunteer to help in the classroom or for other volunteer opportunities.
Parents & Friends
The NBCS Parents & Friends group provides many opportunities to get involved with a range of projects. In 2006-2007, a Parents & Friends sub-group co-ordinated, managed and published the exceptional ‘Northern Beaches Cooks’ cookbook, which successfully raised a substantial amount of money for NBCS projects, local charities and overseas mission work.
The Parent community represents a vast array of talent and technical proficiency. Involvement in the Parents & Friends group enables parents to use their talents to benefit the whole community.
Parents & Friends also hosts a number of social activities through-out the year, both on-site and in the local area.
