Empowering Parents Seminars
In supporting our parents we look to provide relevant seminars addressing the current needs of parents of Generation Y. Topics covered in these seminars include; Parenting Principles, Pathways – Raising Teenagers, Boundaries with Kids, Building Relationships with Teenagers, Dealing with Conflict, Helping your child choose a career and Internet Safety.
Parents & Friends
The NBCS Parents & Friends group provides many opportunities to get involved with a range of projects. In 2006-2007, a Parents & Friends sub-group co-ordinated, managed and published the exceptional ‘Northern Beaches Cooks’ cookbook, which successfully raised a substantial amount of money for NBCS projects, local charities and overseas mission work.
The Parent community represents a vast array of talent and technical proficiency. Involvement in the Parents & Friends group enables parents to use their talents to benefit the whole community.
Parents & Friends also hosts a number of social activities through-out the year, both on-site and in the local area.
