Our aim is to provide a comprehensive, structured and balanced program of sporting activites that provide students with regular, constructive and enjoyable sporting opportunities.
NBCS is a member of the Peninsula Interschool Sports Association (PISA). During Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, organised competitions are run amongst member schools.
Additionally, NBCS enters teams in local Peninsula Cup and external competitions to play a variety of sports against other schools in the area. Sports being offered in 2008 include; Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer and Netball.
Extra Curricular Sporting opportunities include Equestrian, Athletics Training, Basketball and Tennis.
Leadership
Leadership opportunities are offered from Years 7-12. NBCS has an active SRC with representatives across each grade. Formal leadership training opportunities start in Year 9 with an NB Certificate Leadership class offered as an elective. This class is offered to all interested students.
Outdoor Education
Outdoor Education Camps are held annually for each grade across the Secondary School. Students participate in physically and mentally challenging activites in a sequential program from Years 7 – 12. Years 7 & 8 are introduced to activities designed to challenge their physical capacity, whilst Year 9 students are challenged by the physically enduring Duke of Ed hike.
